Something new is coming to the Y Series. The Yarbo Y40P launches September 28 — and if your yard has ever pushed a robot mower past its limits, this one was built with you in mind.

Meet the Y40P

The Y40P is Yarbo's newest robot lawn mower, and the biggest upgrade to the Y Series yet. It's built for large properties with demanding terrain — steeper slopes, denser grass, bigger areas to cover — where the standard Y40 starts to feel stretched.
Same modular platform. Significantly more capable.

The Big Change: A New Drive System

The Y40P runs on a gearbox-free dual hub motor drive system — a fundamental shift from how most robot lawn mowers are built. Instead of routing power through a gearbox, the motor drives the wheel directly. Fewer parts, faster response, smoother handling across the terrain that counts.
What that means in practice:
  • Slopes up to 70% (35°) — handled
  • Top speed of 1.2 m/s, nearly double the Y40's 0.65 m/s
  • Faster turning and acceleration on uneven ground, drainage ditches, and thick turf
  • Operating noise around 60 dB — quiet enough for early morning or evening runs without bothering anyone

More Ground, Fewer Stops

On a large property, working speed adds up fast. The Y40P's mowing efficiency is 53% higher than the Y40 — meaning more ground covered in less time, with fewer recharge stops along the way. That translates to up to 2 acres per day and 7 acres weekly (up from 1.7 acres and 6 acres on the Y40), with up to 0.3 acres per charge versus 0.25 acres before.

Ready for Fall — and What Comes After

The Y40P arrives right when yards need it most. Fall mowing means longer grass, more leaves, wetter conditions — exactly the kind of demand the hub motor system was built for.
And when snow season follows, the same core connects to the Snow Blower module, clearing up to 7,000 ft² per charge versus 6,000 ft² on the Y40. One machine, ready for whatever comes next.
