Yarbo NetRTK is now available on all Yarbo models, free for the lifetime of your Yarbo. No antenna, no base station, no installation — just connect and go. Here's everything you need to know.
What Is Yarbo NetRTK?
Yarbo NetRTK (Network RTK) is a network-based high-precision positioning service that gives your Yarbo centimeter-level accuracy. Unlike a traditional local RTK base station you have to mount, power, and align in your yard, NetRTK delivers correction data over the internet — so there's no base station to install and nothing to set up. Just connect over the internet (Wifi-Halow/Wifi/4G), and your Yarbo is ready to work with precise, reliable positioning across your whole yard.
How it works, step by step:
- Your Yarbo connects to the internet via Wifi-Halow, Wifi, 4G
- It requests correction data from the Yarbo NetRTK cloud service
- The cloud identifies nearby reference stations and generates a correction packet for your location
- Yarbo applies the correction in real time — centimeter-level accuracy, no antenna required
NetRTK vs. Yarbo Data Center: Key Differences

| Yarbo Data Center (DC) | Yarbo NetRTK | |
| Hardware required | Yes — outdoor antenna, wiring, elevated mounting | No local RTK hardware required |
| Installation | Medium to high difficulty (ladder, drill, cabling) | App-based setup, a few minutes |
| Coverage range | Local range around the Data Center | Network coverage area — no single-point limit |
| Upfront cost | DC purchase required | No additional hardware cost |
| Moving homes | Full reinstallation required | Simply reconnect and remap |
| Network dependency | Not required — fully local | Requires internet connection via Wifi-Halow/Wifi/4G |
| Offline operation | Supported | Not supported — requires active internet connection for positioning |
Neither option is universally better — they're designed for different situations. Read on to understand which is right for you.

Already Have a Data Center? NetRTK May Still Help
If your DC is working well, there's no urgency to switch. But a few scenarios make NetRTK worth considering:
-
Signal gaps. Trees, buildings, or terrain can block DC line-of-sight. NetRTK can fill those gaps without additional hardware.
-
A second property. Your DC only covers its installed location. If you're considering a fresh install at a new home, NetRTK is the simpler solution at any additional address.
-
Backup positioning. You can keep both services configured and switch between them under Yarbo App → Settings → Positioning Service.
⚠️ Note: DC and NetRTK cannot be active simultaneously. Switching between them requires a manual map recalibration in the app.

FAQ
Q: Is Yarbo NetRTK really free forever? Any hidden costs?
Yes. The NetRTK precision positioning service is included free for the lifetime of your Yarbo — no subscription, no annual fee, no hidden charges.
Q: Which Yarbo models support NetRTK?
All Yarbo models. You can check coverage availability and activate the service directly in the app.
Q: Do I need to buy extra hardware?
No extra hardware is required for NetRTK itself. On models equipped with the 4G Connect Kit, 4G is built in; you can also use home Wi-Fi, or the DC's Wi-Fi HaLow connection, if you have or plan to buy a DC.
Q: What if my area isn't covered by NetRTK?
A DC base station is the current alternative for uncovered areas. You can also subscribe to coverage notifications in the app — we'll alert you when service reaches your location.
Q: Can DC and NetRTK be used at the same time? How do I switch?
DC and NetRTK cannot be active simultaneously. Switch between them at any time under Yarbo APP Settings → Positioning Service.
⚠️ Note: Switching positioning services causes a map offset. Manual recalibration is required after switching.
Q: I've moved to a new address. Does NetRTK still work?
Yes. Bring your Yarbo to the new location, connect to the network, and NetRTK resumes automatically.
⚠️ Note: A new address is a new yard, so you will need to set up your map and re-initialize NetRTK Service in the app after moving.
